WORLD CUP 2017 IN LATVIA: GEMPERLE AND LUNDANES TOOK THE GOLDS

Natalia Gemperle and Olav Lundanes took the Gold medals in the World Orienteering Cup Round 3 Middle distance in Cēsis, Latvia today. 
 
In the women’s class Natalie Gemperle (Russia) today took her first gold in World Cup with a very good performance. Gemperle finished at 38:56 with 25 seconds ahead of silver medalist Sabine Hauswirth (Switzerland). Marika Teini (Finland) finished third, 26 seconds behind Hauswirth. 
 
In the men’s class, the gold medal winner was Olav Lundanes (Norway). With no mistakes he was 44 seconds ahead the silver medallist Matthias Kyburz from Switzerland. Gustav Bergman from Sweden finished third – one minute 16 seconds behid the winner.
